I still often lose on hard and have unlocked all the Characters. I can see why this is the case for you, but not everyone. You could maybe argue that Zombie Rollerz has this with Normal/Hard/Hell difficulties, but I started playing on hell difficulty from my 4th run, while it took me over 20 games to unlock everything that made the game easier. They have increasing difficulty levels that unlock as you play. The game gets easier as you play because you get better, shure, but playing with a new memmory file is not harder than playing on an old one.Įxamples of games that get (optionally) more difficult with game time: Every time you start a run the game has the same difficulty. If you have all the unlocks and then whipe your save file, then the game will become more difficult because you loose all the unlocks.Įxamples of games that do not require less skill with increased game time: This makes the game easier regardless of player skill level. At a certain point the only things you unlock are upgrades to skills, making your skills better. When you get better at the game you need the game to have a higher difficulty to give you a challenge. If I have somehow misunderstood what you where going for here please correct me because this is just baffling. Every game is beaten via learning its system and through doing so you are always going to find it easier due to this. The only possible way I see to solve this 'problem' would be to make a game unbeatable.

Its about increasing your skills and knowledge of a game to overcome the challenge and beat it.

I find it confusing that you think getting better at playing a game over time is a bad thing? Also how is this something that is the Devs fault? This is kind of the point of Video Games in the first place. Very difficult to avoid with a lot of games tho. As you play and get better at the game the game also requires less skill. I always feel there is something iffy with the game design when the game it'self gets easier with more playtime. However after unlocking all the items you begin unlocking extra effects to your skills. So essentialy you are just adding bad items into your item pool. There is a period of time where you are unlocking items that give you minions and they are all among the worst items.
